CHRISTIANITY EXPLORED

Over the past few years we have hosted the Alpha Course in January offering anyone the opportunity to explore the Christian faith in a relaxed setting over ten thought provoking weekly sessions. Instead this year we will be presenting Christianity Explored (again along with Mottram Parish Church and Hattersley Community Church) over seven weeks starting on 30 January.

Each relaxed, informal evening will start with a meal together, a short Bible study (journeying through the Gospel of Mark), talk and dvd presentation, closing with a time of open discussion. So, If you want to find the answers to some of today’s big questions through the life and death of Jesus Christ, you will be more than welcome to join us.

We start with an Introductory Evening (with meal) on Monday 30 January, then run through seven Mondays to 26 March (missing 13 January Half Term). For further details and a Registration Form call Peter Copestake on 01457 764766 or Beryl Clayton on 0161 303 0002..

CHURCH IN THE PARK

This is the day Mottram Evangelical Church together with Hattersley Community Church, come out into their local neighbourhoods.
In 2011 it was held in Hattersley, on the: Melandra Crescent Play Space (on Melandra Crescent, Hattersley) on Sunday 19 June - starting at 12noon and finishing around 3pm
A short Family Service lead by Jim Solomon (HCC Pastor) was followed by an afternoon of entertainment and interest for all ages: around the park with barbecue, bouncy castle, climbing wall, drinks tent, face painting, football penalty shoot-out and lots lots more). On-stage we were entertained by our own ‘Girlee Crew’, Christian hiphop band ‘Twelve24’ and ‘In yer Face’ Christian drama group (both courtesy of the Message Trust).

SUMMER KIDZ CLUB

Every year, during the kids’ summer break from school, we hold a week long Kidz Club (mornings only from 10am to 12noon) in Mottram Evangelical Church for 6 to 11 year olds.
It’s based on gripping and imaginative storytelling, creative Bible teaching, crafts, games and relationship-building activities.
It ends on the Friday evening with a show and barbecue for all the family.
